“Come and stay, join me in my garden.”
I usually say this to friends who drop by, perhaps to return a book, or pick up some cut flowers or plants I started for them or even a basket of vegetables. That’s how much I show my appreciation for their friendship, I give them things from my garden.
I live in a sleepy New England town, and I am blessed with great weather during the spring, summer and fall. My garden becomes an abundant source of flowers and vegetables and this is the perfect time to invite friends to slow down, relax, and literally, smell the roses.
Gardening for some is a struggle. For others it’s easy. Mine was a combination of both. I’ve always loved my mother’s garden, but didn’t have any success starting mine until my husband gave me books about the soil, about gardening techniques, about the right kind of plants that will survive our harsh winters, about the birds and the bees who help make a garden grow.
And from there I learned about gardening supplies, who has them on sale, where to get the best deals. I learned about landscaping and how to literally make a thousand and one things that will contribute to the beauty and value of the property.
So, I started this website to help you get the best deals from around the web (from simple supplies to lawn mowers and weed whackers!), find the greatest resources and have a place to exchange ideas about your own gardens, planting dilemmas and successes.
Please drop me a line and tell me how you’re doing. Send me pictures so I get to see your successes. I’d love to see your gardens and hear your stories!
Thanks for visiting.
